BIO
Better known as “Coach Doc”, mission is to train offensive line athletes to the best of their abilities and to help further them on to the next level in their athletic careers. Coach Doc, a Jacksonville native, played at Mandarin High School from 2009-2012. There he saw time as primarily a OT, but also as a OG and long snapper. Coach Doc was a Varsity member for 3 years.
Upon graduating from Mandarin, Coach Doc signed and played at Stetson University until a knee injury cut his career short.
While back home Coach Doc still had the itch to be involved in football and began to officiate Varsity football games through the FHSAA for a few years. As he was back home Coach Doc finished his schooling at the University of North Florida and graduated in 2017 with a B.S. in Sports Management.
During his internship through the Sports Management program at UNF, Coach Doc was a coach’s offensive intern with the Jacksonville Sharks and helped them to pave the way towards winning the 2017 NAL Championship.
Coach Doc started coaching HS football in 2016 under Coach Jim Stomps and was on his staff from 2016-2020 as the OL coach and Run Game Coordinator. Coach Doc is currently the Co-OL coach at Fleming Island HS.
Coach Doc has experienced OL play at all levels and understands what is needed be successful as an OL and to dominate the game.
Recognizing the impact of coaches in athletes lives and the lack of specified training available to offensive line athletes, Coach Doc strives to bring training to the offensive line athlete drawn from his experiences and resources he has found along the way through his coaching and playing career.
Coach Doc realizes that all offensive line athletes are not built the same, and will make an utmost effort to train offensive linemen in all aspects of the game and will cater each athletes training to their various needs. Whether it be zone or gap blocking, picking up the blitz and protections, double teams, execution of different types of blocks, film study, or simply the various techniques of offensive line play, Coach Doc can train and prepare you for it all.
